Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT Movie Review: Thalapathy Vijay’s most-awaited film, “GOAT”, directed by Venkat Prabhu, constitutes crucial action, sentiment, and strong casting. The fans simply love the action scenes in this movie, and the emotional moments are touching. However, some viewers commented that the movie is slow in certain parts.
Despite these limitations, “GOAT” should be a must-watch for all Vijay fans. This movie revolves around a secret from the past that comes back to haunt a group of anti-terrorist worriers. Thalapathy Vijay gained household popularity in Tamil Nadu only because of story-oriented family entertainer movies such as Poove Unakkaga, Love Today, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, and many more.

The Twist
The movie takes a great twist when Vijay loses his son. He went missing from the hospital. Eventually, when he sees the dead body of his son and the backpack that he used to wear to school, he feels very sad. The way he cries is so powerful and it will make you feel emotional.
The Goat/ The Greatest of All Time Movie Review
The film engages the viewer with its charm and vibrant energy, though the storyline of the movie is somewhat lacking. Everything from the remake of the “Marudhamalai Maamaniye” dance by Vijay for “Ghilli” to referencing the iconic yellow jersey, number 7, “The GOAT” is literally a must-watch for fans. However, the storyline of the film is not as strong as the emotional impact of the movie itself.

Overall Reviews Made by Viewers
Director Venkat Prabhu did a reasonably good job in the first half, with an excellent opening sequence followed by a few fun sequences involving Gandhi’s family and friends, as well as a predictable but interesting twist during the pre-interval. It was in the second half that director Venkat Prabhu lost track.
There are a few twists in the second half, but all those twists are very predictable. A better output by Yuvan Shankar Raja would have completely altered the movie’s fortunes, but Yuvan was disappointed in a big way. Songs turned out to be a big letdown.
Performances
Thalapathy Vijay did an excellent job with his dual role. The way he portrayed the younger character was highly appreciated. The way Prashanth did the character of Sunil had a standing performance. Prabhudeva as Kalyan was something totally unexpected from the actor’s never-tried-before character.

Ajmal Ameer and Sneha acted well, though Sneha had a fairly routine character-Mohan’s subtle but power-packed performance as the villain was outstanding. Moreover, mixed opinions regarding this film were received from critics.
Conclusion
Hence, GOAT is a decent one-time watch film for the good first half, brilliant performance of Vijay, comedy sequences of Yogi Babu in the second half, cameo appearances of Trisha and Sivakarthikeyan, and a couple of predictable yet good twists.
Though the film has a very good chance to work well in Tamil with the stardom of Vijay, CSK & Dhoni factor, in Telugu it is difficult to sustain at the box office after the opening weekend.
